Motowheels 999R Project

We finished this 2005 999R in early 2005. We had a 2003 999S project bike
prior to this so we had a lot of donor parts that we had already test fitted.

The 999R does not get ridden as much now that the 1098 project is completed.
It is a fun bike that is at least 70lbs lighter than original. It may be sold
soon, so I thought I'd share some photos of this very unique bike before it is
gone.

It has Ohlins Road and Track forks with SBK internals and
MW Billet "Ohlins 108mm" Radial Lowers: 999/1098. The calipers are BREMBO "2 Pc. Radial" Billet Caliper: 108mm . The rotor is a BRAKETECH "AXIS" Iron Front Rotor: 4 Pad. Not pictured is the BREMBO "GP" Forged Radial Brake M/C: 19x18. Braking is a two finger operation with plenty of feedback.

Hidden behind the Braketech rotor is a
BST CF "Race" Front Wheel: 749/999,S4RS,D16.
A
TI Front Axle: 749/999 is hidden by the RHINOMOTO Front Axle Slider: Ducati/Aprilia.

Barely visible is the other titanium pieces:

NCR TI Front Rotor Hex Bolt Kit: Hex head

TI Fork Axle Pinch Bolts
TI Front Caliper Mounting Bolts: Radial
Titanium Bleed Nipple: 8mm Ducati

The BST wheels probably made the biggest difference on this bike-even
thoughthe original forged aluminum wheels were very light.
